Be aware that two different versions of Teves ABS were used on Mk 2 XM's.
These ABS ECU's are not interchangable both physically or electrically.
96 - 98ish were fitted with Teves Mk4 ABS.
Very late XM's got Teves Mk20 ABS.
Very little information published on this final system.
Also very few cars imported so spares are thin on the ground.

Teves Mk20 is a very common ABS system with common faults. It comes as either direct connection or CAN bus.
Try ECU repairers for a list of faults they can repair.

Check the connecton pins are making good contact as they are a push fit into the board, not soldered.

The connection pin area is cracked off so not fit for a repair. Unfortunately a new one is needed

I'm sure someone can solder in cables to a suitable external connector. Might still be worth speaking to ecu repairers.

Xantia S2 from 98 got tevis 20. I've a couple of units.. But weither it will be a direct fitment or not I do not know.

I wasn't aware of common issues with tevis 20. Earlyer systems had poor sensors and ecu failures on the xantia mk. 1 cars.

Did the Xantia have a different number of teeth on the ABS rings?
