PRV V6 exhausts!

I recently fitted a complete new exhaust (less catalyster) on my lhd 12v that was supplied by Euro Car Parts and as luck would have it my rhd 24v front silencer now has a hole! Although I have secured complete systems for both models in the past, it appears manufacture of everything but the rear box has now ceased, which I guess is to be expected given the age of the car and tiny numbers left on the road! Unless anyone has any leads I assume that a custom made system is now the only option for these models? Regards, Matthew T.

I managed to source back boxes with only moderate trouble but none had the correct connection so i had to get inventive.
This winter i will be build a new CAT as i just dont like the cheap ones and then i will get one of THESE and be done with it, i've had enough of steel exhausts on cars that don't get used much and with them being difficult to find and of dubious quality when you do stainless is the only option really.

Really useful! (For me especially!).
One of my enquirers was concerned about exhausts.
Good to find a supplier; I agree about cheap (?) steel. Stainless is way to to go.

That is indeed interesting info Dean, although unfortunately neither 24v model is listed on the site! The complete 12v system without the catalyster works out about at about £460 plus postage (if available) which I guess is not too bad. Regards, Matthew T.

After some hard searching on Google I have now found an Autofactor in Latvia (of all places!) with a website that lists 10No. 24v middle silencers being available and other 12v exhaust parts, but as yet there is no response to my enquiry. Is there anyone in that part of the world who can assist? With regards, Matthew T.

I haven't been on the Forum for ages, which reflects pleasantly on a lack of problems with my S2 V6 24-valve (and a long winter lay-up!) But now the exhaust system is blowing in the 'Y' joint where the main system meets the back box, which is almost impossible to weld (as it's got so thin). As others have noted, the 'main' exhaust section which this is part of is no longer listed by UK aftermarket suppliers, so does anyone know anywhere in Europe that has them, or is the only alternative a custom made system? And if so, any economical recommended suppliers? :?:

Oh, just read Dean's reference to a Latvian supplier – do you have details, please?

I was sorry to hear about your exhaust problem and for a replacement system I thoroughly recommend P.G. Gough of Nottingham who recently made two S1 V6 systems for me. With regards, Matthew T.

P.D.Gough are the Rolls-Royce of s/s exhausts, not cheap, but the very best (and quietest) quality.
Have had several of their systems on Rover TC, V8 and Dolomite.

If you have a "Mr Tyre" centre near you, they will make any part of a stainless exhaust system for you while you wait.

They once made me a link pipe welded onto the back of my existing cat, for a reasonable sum.

Thanks to both of you who recommended P D (or G ?) Gough, will Google him and see what's what. :) Not sure about 'Mr Tyre', but will investigate them, too. Latvian and Lithuanian suppliers seemed, like UK ones, to only have the back boxes. :?
