Greetings!! My93 Xm 2.0 petrol turbo is at Ray calverts Citroen. He says it needs abs pump replaced. He's been unable to source one for it, so I'd thought I ask the community here if anyone has one or knows what I could do ?
Regards Tony.

Bertie, the only ideas that come to mind are fix what you have, replace broken with used, or ignore it.
There are places that sell used xm parts , like edwards in Billericay in sunny essex. People on here often have parts, perhaps you could contact them directly as not everyone "checks in" to read postings every few hours!.
I've never heard of an ABS pump failure, but then i'm not a professional like Ray calverts Citroen. However, the electronics are known for 'having a laugh' - and people have posted q&a on those issues. So perhaps a little more information on why you think the abs pump needs replacing would be useful in getting more replies.
That said, if it's off to the scrappers, you can always put the few quid towards a new project to replace it with and spend money on!

A point to make also is the web site does not throw out reply emails either.. so no one is informed of anything without physically logging in to look..

Desipte that. You do know and have personal contact info to me. And know that id likely have one. By abs pump im sure you mean the hydraulic block down on the bottom right under the air filter box.. in which case yes there is pleanty of them here.

This was totally unwarranted. Just not the way we communicate here among friends.

That remark was plain sarcasm. And rest assured, he knows more about the XM than a few so-called professionals added, or maybe multiplied together.

And the XM has no ABS pump, no matter what your source tells you. Some other cars do, so a mechanic might just nonchalantly refer to it as such on any car but there is no such thing on the XM. We have a high pressure hydraulic system also serving the brakes, with absolutely no need for an extra pump in the ABS circuit. There is a hydraulic actuator block that John has lots of and if you played nicely instead of spraying unwarranted insults, you could surely obtain one from him.

Quite agree.

B-B's posts above, and a on several other threads today, are rude, ignorant and verbally abusive. There is some history of this, I recall.

It would be good if one of the moderating team could put an end to this unpleasantness, once and for all.
