Wanted: Silver Passenger Front Door - attempted theft!

So it's ages since someone broke into one of my cars. I think the summer nights and warm evenings are encouraging the burglar s*** to travel further afield.
I was away last week and they pulled away at the top of the door until they could slip into the car and look in the glove compartment (which luckily they did not break).
We've managed to push it back mostly into shape and it closes and locks! But I could do with a new one.
If anyone has a spare silver passenger door for an S2 that would be great - I could collect in the southern half of the country ! Might have to arrange some delivery system if it comes from further afield!
Cheers
Steve

I have one, but it is in Burgundy, and I don't have any more trips to the UK planned this year.

Thing with estate doors is although they will fit a hatch car perfectly the plastic door " extensions " that mr heliuez glued on did so .. sooooooo well they are virtually impossible to remove...

I have a silver front passenger door Steve, although unfortunately at the moment I have agreed to pass both doors to Paul in Wales! It was very distressing to hear about the break in and damage to your car. Regards, Mathew T.

The plastic extensions are stuck on with PU sealant and should be able to be cut off using a wire, or better still, a multi-tool with oscillating blade.

Thanks Guys. It is not the most pristine V6 in the world, but I'd like to drive it without too much wind noise or rain getting in!
Matthew, if Paul changes his mind about the doors I'm very often only down the (long and windy) road in Cambridge!
Otherwise I'm in Bristol which make Southampton a bit of a trip, but my wife keeps on badgering me to take her on a cruise from there!
Cheers
Stephen

To get the frame to fit better, roll the window down and using a long piece of stout wood as a lever, pull the frame back into position.
Paad the door card with a flat piece of wood to avoid damage.

Scum, nothing more annoying, especially when the door ends up ruined like that.
I had the same thing happen to the driver's door on a Mondeo I owned about 10 years ago. I managed to get it relatively back in to shape using Will's suggested method. It wasn't perfect but it did seal and was water and air tight after some fettling.
Some people say old cars aren't worth bothering to secure because no one will look twice at them, sadly the experience is quite the opposite as you've unfortunately discovered.
Seems to be the season for this kind of thing, someone tried to steal the wheels off my white XM in broad daylight last Thursday. I returned to missing centre caps and loosened bolts on 3 wheels, I really have seen it all now.
Hope you get sorted with a new door, Will's suggestion should keep you warm and dry in the meantime!

Hi Steve,
I shall await further comments from Paul, otherwise there are two garages I can suggest on this side of the Country that may well be able to assist:
NDB Autos, Norwich (Nigel or Chris) 01603 618934
Edwards & Son, Billericay (Mark) 01277 651486
Please do let me know how matters proceed and if I can help any further.
With regards,
Matthew T.
PS. I am actually in North Norfolk and another possibly might be collection at the National next month.
