I think the basic VSX seats are the best for wear although I must admit that my SX seats look better - that plus the superior heating system make them just as desireable in my book

I didn't mean *that* alcadara, this indeed wears very badly, Citroen is ridiculous to have actually sold such a low spec tissue.

I meant the very rare full alcadara interior (Lancia-style) that was offered on S1+S1.5 (at least). It is blue-ish/grey-ish. I don't know why, but it usually comes with silver or grey cars. I attach 2 photo files of it.

Getcha now George, I have seen that a few time before, it was offered instead of leather for the Exclusive models before the half leather came along. Velour in the centres, and alcantarara on the edges if I am not mistaken.

That's right Robert, it is the same alcantara that was used in the half leather interiors.

I have the 'Diamant velvet' (Citroens official name for it) upholstery in both my S2 Exclusives.





The 2.1 with 90k on the clock is in very good condition, but the TCT with 140k has a worn out drivers seat bolster.

I agree with George, it is surprising that a manufacturer would use such a weak material......especially in the higher priced top of the range cars.

I was recently sent a sample piece of alcantara with a view to repairing the drivers seat but it's a slightly lighter shade of grey so I'm going to see if I can dye it a bit darker.

The best upholstery I've seen is the light grey pinstripe that was in my VSX (same as Chris's newly aquired VSX estate), although I haven't had a close look at the SX interior (but I'm not keen on that pattern on that one).

You have just described the interior of my second V6 Exclusive (S1.5). Very nice it was too even after 7years when I got it.

The main issue with leather as I see it is that the seat heaters need to be working in the winter and the aircon in the summer (not always the case with XM's ). The vain advantage (for the vain amongst us) this that it looks the best.

I do sooo want it, its an SED so YES Andrew that SHOULD be an electric arm rest! Its a Direct DERV version of my V6 SEi...

Lovly colour too, a change from Maroon DERV's or . green!!

Just too soon for me! Needs to shift a few first, and im getting surrounded by Xantias again, and ones I want to keep!!
