Medway Citroen are advertising a good looking S2 hatch on Car & Classic, although the lack of stated mileage and admission of iffy cold-starts might be off-putting. The price is right, though

BTW, I went all the way to Weston-Super-Mare to look at the long-advertised maroon TD manual two weekends ago but neither the car nor the alleged vendor were there as arranged, only some aggressive gardener who claimed to know the whereabouts of neither! Very annoying, as the car looked good on paper, if a bit overpriced at £1500.

I'm sure it was much cheaper then though.

Yes, it was up at £500 for a while, including quite recently.
There appears to be a slow firming of prices, though perhaps not so much in the private seller/buyer market.

When there were two cars and no buyers the price was cheap, now one car has gone...

I once turned down a S2-2.1TD Exclusive that had a great body (one minor bit of damage), but needed HG, hydraulic work and the suspension was locked in hard...for £65.

Looking back, I must have had a mental abberation.
