Wallet says what? What difference does it make whether it is 595 or 195 quid you're going to fork over. Because you know you're going to have to invest many times either of the figures if you want this beauty road worthy!

Yeah, but ive run Citroens (you know, proper ones) since I was 17. I KNOW that its gonna be a money pit. Ive owned 2 x CX prestige you know. I fear not sinking all my money into cars !

Now that is more like it and a nice and usual colour too! How interesting that the registration year is stated as 1992 but the car is on a 'G'. The wood trim and optional 24v wheels certainly suggest the later date, so perhaps the plate is personal? A good project for someone with the time, money and inclination and hopefully it does not go for parts! Regards, Matthew T.

I bought my 'G' plate auto in a very similar condition to this, having been off the road for a long time with no paperwork except a V5. The car started and drove, but needed new draft shafts, steering rack and most front ball joints were seized, plus obviously new spheres and a some bodywork repairing and repainting. Once again I really do hope the car is saved but sadly this one is not for me! With regards, Matthew T.

This kind of thing really pisses me off!!! This car was brought to life by Spitroen over a year ago

I went and had a look at it and made an offer there and then. The garage owner said he would get in touch with the cars owner and get back to me. He phoned me a couple of weeks later to say the owner needed to know that anyone who took it on would put it back on the road and not scrap it or use it for parts. I told him what I intended to do and even organised another gearbox for it. Despite numerous phone calls to the garage owner, even asking Malcolm Lockwood to intervene, nothing came back - then this.
Not a happy bunny
It is a 92 on a K plate and I offered £250.

My guess says it's still at the same garage.
It appears they want £595 for it, even with the duff gearbox.

The location says Hebden Bridge. The car was in Bradford near Malcolm Lockwood's shop.
