Wanted: Front wing R/H (or a bit of)

Hi folks,

Been a bit quiet on here recently, trying to look after all the cars and re-decorate house eats time unfortunately.

Anyway, the r/h bottom corner of the XM's front wing is a bit rotted out from a previously blocked sunroof drain, does anyone have a scrapper wing with a sound lower corner?
(im not sure if there is a difference from S1 or S2, happy to be educated)

Bottom corner of wings dont rot out from sunroof drains. They are no where near there for exit.. they rot out from dirt catchment and scuttle drainage .. unfortunally a lot are like this and id also advise checking closely the cill and structure area behind it too.. check out my blog.. last two pages called " Another 24v s1 update " ive just been here.

as for wing bottoms yes the bottoms will be the same between s1 and s2 but personally id leave it away so crap can always get out.. untidy it may look but it may save body rebuilding at al later date.

as for wing bottoms ive very few dfivers ones.. so cant help you there.

Thanks for the excellent advice there :) I've not much experience of the Xm yet, so it's foibles are still being learnt. I'd been advised the reason was sunroof drain, but must admit to not having prodded the area yet, so real cause is still to be verified :)

I see what you mean now. Thanks for the link and the info :)

I really should just sit and trawl this forum for a while to educate myself, as always, I will, when I have time :)

Front sunroof drains exit on the outside of the top of the main chassis rail behind the back end of the front wing.
I agree with Paul though that without muck collected at the bottom end of the wing it will not retain water and rust away.
The big enemy is salty water off the road which the wheel jets past the plastic shield gaps into the muck.
If anything clean rainwater passing through washes some of the salt out.
