Ah excellent, if they paint it black it will save me a job as mine is already black as is most of the engine.
I'm not that fussed, i should have got it done during the rebuild, i chose not to due to the growing spend but i had a summers use out of it before it has failed. The failure is the seals as the V is totally dry and all new seals were fitted on the re-build.

Thank's Gents, i will call SP on Tuesday and get the spare pump i have just remembered i have sent off for a re-build.

Can someone please advice on how to get a hold of a water pump for 1990 3.0 - 24V, build code 5111?

you can't, or i couldn't find a new one anywhere, they were all for the later, and totally different ES V6 engine which is a cam belt driven unit. It will have to be sent off to be rebuilt by a specialist.
