Selling off one (or bits :o) of your XM collection, or perhaps searching for those elusive headlight washer covers? This is the place to do it.

Why not go totally off the script and get yourself a nice Jensen Interceptor? Guy I know has one in mid cobalt
blue metallic and I can hear over a mile away when he fires it up! My word, but he's done things to that engine...

Actually, I think I'd be a very happy bunny if I could go out and buy this:

Probably Dean. The 1015 is a bit sad - mind, they're like motorcycle engines and
love revs being redlined at 7-8000!! They never got beyond 1300cc 10+ years later!
The thinking man's Alfasud with room in the back for kiddy seats! ;)

i didnt know they rev'd like that, thinking about it though being an older car she should be a featherweight, and if the engines good...........a 1L AX is a bit of a laugh around town and to be honest its engine isnt even interesting.

I notice that the other 24v xm has a new box in it too, not good for a late car is it  , looks like the hp20 really didnt like the sealed for life deal it got.

I dearly love my Gs's and really only stopped using them as I got paranoid about someone tailending me!!
Yes, they are lightweight and they not only go very well and drive like a little sportscar, they've got superb
brakes. I'd rate one higher than an Xm or Xantia; on a par with a Cx maybe even shading that!!

You've GOT to drive one!!!!

In fact just like silver 24v v6 late s2 Xm's, here's another Prestige CX:

The Xm/Xant 24v's clever thinking autobox is brilliant - shame the innards seem to be made from candlewax!

I do like the box on my Xantia V6 but so far the car hasn't really impressed me the way my first XM or CX did. In fact, this last weekend I did the same 50 mile round trip back to back in both the V6 and the 25 GTi, and found myself falling even further in love with the CX. I can understand why the Xantia has its fanbase (cheap, seriously gutsy, great auto, all the toys) but it's still an oddly familiar feeling mainstream tool, albeit one with a gratifyingly familiar suspension.

The more I drive the CX the more I understand why people bang on about them, and why CX owners tend to stick with them car after car. There's genuinely nothing else like it.

Mine's come back from the menders (you may recall, the DIRAVI was up the spout) complete with gasps of astonishment from the chaps at Brodie's who claim it's the cleanest car underneath they've ever laid eyes on. After a service and the steering fix it's almost perfect to drive. One of the few vehicles I don't want to get out of once I stop!

So, another beguiled by the delights of a Cx! I'm totally smitten 20 years after my first drive in one.
Just a damned shame the bloody things weren't galvanised and fitted with a proper handbrake.
Mind, that's like asking for perfection in an imperfect world; when DIRAVI does what it's supposed
to... well, near perfection is great isn't it!?*

A Xantia is a daily use tool - but what else is there, I cannot think there'd be many better alternatives
beyond the Citroen gene pool we all know and love! An XM 24v V6 Exclusive does intrigue me and is
the last Xm I don't have (OK, I forgot the 16v 2.0!). The new C5 seems to be an interesting proposition;
you rate yours very highly TE?

*Mind, that orange Gs messes my petrol head up every time I look at it or think about it!
