Front indicator/foglamp

As the MoT is looming, my XM seems determined to self-destruct.

With considerable help from CitroJim and others I have managed to get the ABS light to stay off long enough to pass the check.

Then the bottom of the bumper caught on my ramps as I was backing the car off - causing the mightly rusty bumper brackets to give way and the bumper to end up sagging somewhat.

Having re-aligned the bumper and bolted it back into place the indicator fell out on the way to take the girls to school, disintegrating in the process.

So, has anyone got a nearside MK1 indicator unit they don't need? Doesn't need to be perfect (god knows the rest of the car isn't!) just good enough to stay in one piece.

Colin

Not to worry, I've managed to piece it back together with a hot glue gun and an old plastic milk bottle (seriously)

Nope Nothing like mark one's Norman.... completely different.

Ive pleanty of bits of S1 units, etc, but what few good ones, im sorry to say I will hang onto.

With wanting to keep two, maybee three at most S1 cars Ill need to hang onto spares.

Every time I get a Series one car in for parts, they end being too good and done up and sold on!

Two have done it now, the first was a K reg 2.1 D, which was cheap, but SOOOOO tidy, I did the clutch and sold it to Vince !!

The next is another K reg 2.1 SD Manual, for parts, but again, Ive decided to do up, and have two people wanting...

Ive also another 2.1 D that I bought in a few years ago, and looking at it, its do up able TOO!!!

How about taking a leaf out of Matthews book and trying France or Germany eBay. You can...at great expense, get new lenses from AEP however.
