I've never been able to remove them off the main lever
so have dismantled the whole assembly - I have x2 spare
AFAIK, Vince wants one still. Will be a sod to post mind!

Go for a wooden Xantia or S2 gear knob. They don't break.

A good grip with both hands and a strong rip upwards.

This has never worked for me as I've always been wary of damaging it or myself!
That or I've more mechanical sympathies that I thought I had... lol

Thinking about it, I'm actually surprised anyone here even knows what an Xm gear lever looks like
judging by all the autobox fans!

What??!!!!

They did manual XMs?

Nah, you're pulling my leg...
Seriously, Xantia gear knobs, and by extension XM ones too are a fit once only device. they are secured to the stick by barbs that break when you try to pull them off. Getting your knob to then stay in place is a devil's own job and it's likely to fly off the stick at the most inopportune times...
You may be able to get a brand-new Xantia one from a stealer or get a lathe-owning friend to turn you up a nice wooden one...

Hi Dean
Is Inuendo Jim's patent glue for sticking damaged gear knobs back on.
And I though he only repaired auto's.
