An absoulte waste.

The XM was culled off, and now these fannies didn't even bother to finish their stupid project.

I feel the same Robert. Where it does kick me in the teeth is when someone
does bail out when the enormity/implications of the real job in hand finally
dawn on the Muppets who go in sourcing the Xantia (Activa usually) or even
rarer Xantia TCT estate and Xm's of course which are probably in better shape
and more legal than their recipient deathtrap. The easy bit is tearing apart
and ruining the donor - I've read horror stories of deliberate carnage meted
out by scumbags to perfectly good usable parts on BX 16v'ers and Activae in
a mindless frenzy of spite/hatred or whatever.

Yes, I've heard the old "one man's meat is another man's poison" and you may
not be too troubled about Xantiae yourself but I can't can't get enough of them
and think they're brilliant cars for what they offer do for the money...

and so it goes on!

I particularly like the idea of getting a failed Pug project car/engine like this
and using it to get another Activa/Xm going again. I've already bought/rescued
one engine like the ebay item linked and am considering this one myself too
to fix one of my Activae.

Re-using the engine would be a nice way to end this saga, and to have it save a Xantia or XM.

Its a real shame, because they usually source good low mileage cars for their death traps. Unfortunatley there isn't much that can be done about it, its a free market.

Pehaps you could send a question relating to buying the engine to back into a Citroen, but only on the basis that the Saxo is crushed to stop anyone atempting to perform this carnage again..

or you could go the whole hog and convert the Saxo too full Activa suspension.

Who in the right mind wants a Saxo, Activa suspension or not - theres no damm style to them!

They dont even deserve the Citroen name! They aint got Hydraulics, and they aint wacky enough to have a Citroen badge and springs - ah la Visa for example

I think this could be the car in question...........(apologies if I have the wrong pic, and this is someone else's car, but I'm fairly sure this is the right one)

It was mentioned on the old forum.............

I know it's not a saxo in the picture, but I may have got the pic off google or something, I can't remember.

If anyone is interested in the engine, it would be worth asking about the car that it came from, in case it is this one......64k :D .

The seller says he has no idea about the mileage
- I think 64k would sit in your mind if you knew it...
