RH (and LH) display

Neither of the displays works on my car (S2 registered in June 1996 but built in June 1995). The right hand one (see photo) has a lot of bleeding and is generally illegible. The left hand one is completely blank apart from a brief twinkling of a few pixels when the ignition is first turned on.

The car came with a complete spare lower dashboard panel which I believe a previous owner obtained from a French scrapyard. However, it’s different from mine and the connector for the RH display appears quite different. The bulbholder section is different too - the one in the car has the beige coloured circuit board.

I removed the LH display from the spare panel and connected it in place of the one on the car, but it was completely blank, not even a flicker. I have ordered a conductive rubber strip from Q&K which I was intending to fit to my original display, but it seems to have gone astray somewhere between leaving Poland and arriving in the UK.

I would love to get hold of a compatible RH display as well as, ideally, a working LH display, or maybe the entire lower panel

It's common for the R/h display to delaminate. The coloured ink between the glass layers is oxidising, so it's best to obtain one from a dry climate.

You need the basic clock version, P# 6155 G2

I think those replacement displays, if Xm at all, are from a multiplex car, so no good to you.
