n/s wing indicator

Does anybody have a nearside indicator for sale -- the little one that sits beneath the wing mirror? I'm having trouble sourcing one.
Insurance company deemed replacement of indicator and pulling out a dent a £1700 job and are instead sending me a cheque for what they value my car at - £360! So I'm after aformentioned indicator and sucker to pull out the dent.

Hi Matt, as yours is an 1994 S2 it should be the all Amber/Orange type lens with a clear bulb (Which I have) rather than the later type which was the clear/crystal type with an Amber/Orange bulb, PM sent.

The metalwork in the front wing is heavier gauge than you'd expect so not an easy fix just using a sucker
type puller especially where there are the swage crease lines although dependent on the severerity of the dent.
I've got a glass handling type puller for a fiver made by Blackspur and it's actually quite good though so still
worth looking for and trying. What colour is the car as an alternate wing may even be a better bet if there's a
sharp edge in the dent?

Thank-you gents,
I've already ordered a Ding King kit and a glass sucker so my plan initially was to see if I can just pull it out. Andrew you're right about the swag crease -- dent is right in the middle of it so may be tricky to get purchase. What I haven't looked at it is how I get the old indicator off and the new one on. Can it be done from outside or does the wing have to come off? If it's the latter I might as well replace the wing -- it'll be no more work.
I haven't checked the paint code yet but it's the standard S2 dark green (emerald?). Colour coded trim but that can be switched from the old wing.
XMX i've pm'd you.

The side indicator will prise off popping out with a slim screwdiver from the forward end IIRC.
it's been a while since I've removed one but seem to recall it can be helpedby a hit of horizontal
movement to one side and the other end is then sprung out. The other hassle is the spare length
of wire feed to it.
In extremis the wheelarch liner can be dropped away from the back of the wheelarch undoing 2-3
of the circular washer nuts and you can push the light unit out as well as undo the wiring.

Were the clear repeaters ever standard fitment on XMs?
My P reg 2.1 had them on it (someone probably thought they looked cool), and I took them off and put orange ones I had spare on it. I prefer the orange ones to the white.

Hi Robert,

I do believe that the later ones were fitted with the clear/crystal lenses and Amber bulbs,
I definitely remember a breaker having a newish one at the time Silver Estate 2.1 TD VSX that had been badly 'T' boned in an accident which I bought the L/H dot matrix display from, which had them on and it was on an 'S' plate (98/99) and that was back in 2001 when I bought my first 2.5 TD .
Also the two later models advertised on the Car and Classic site by
WHM and
Mr.B seem to confirm this (Unless they have been changed over of course, as they seem to be on the Silver ones) !
