Hi folks,
Does anyone fancy a FREE 1982 CX 2.4 Injection Auto Prestige. That is FREE to collect.
I co-own this car with CCC member.
Here are the pictures :

They were taken when we got the car, but some tidying has been done.
The car is in Falkirk, Cetnral Scotland. It doesn't run, but the engine isn't seized. We have had the car since last winter, and unfortunately don’t have the time to spend on the car.
Before it was parked up in a forestry commission yard a few years ago, the car was running well, and the autobox was nice and smooth. It has about 60-70k on the clock.
The previous owner’s intention was to respray the car, he removed all the exterior trim (apparently it is all in the car) in preparation for the respray, but some vandals smashed some windows in it, and he lost interest in it and left it to languish for a few years.
The pictures give a good indication of what it is like. It needs welding to the sills near the back on each side. It needs the rear subframe and longerons replacing . A good rear sub frame and longerons (from a familiale), are available along with any other compatible parts you want to take from the familiale. The other area of notable rot is the panel below the windscreen, it is good on the familiale, and so it could be cut out of it, and welded into the Prestige. The usual battery tray is rotten also. There is probably more rot that I haven’t seen yet. Although the floors are believed to be solid.
The back screen and the passenger’s side front door glass have been replaced. The passenger’s side rear quarter glass hasn't been replaced, but it is available. All the broken glass and pine needles that was in the back of the car has been cleared out. The Front carpets and seats haven’t been taken out yet.
The seats have no holes or tears in them, they're just filthy. The moss on them brushes off easily, and they're nice underneath. One of the front seats has been cleaned this way. The carpets will be more fun. If you took them out, and hung them up, all the water will drain out and the plant life will die. What I was going to do was just power wash all the moss out of them and see what I was left with. But you should be able to get replacement carpets from someone.
The V5 is here with me, along with the owners pack. The door cards which were taken out prior to storage, so they're not damaged.
If you're interested, the car is available to view in Falkirk. We want the car to go to someone who will give it the attention it deserves before it really is too late for the car, and we unfortunately don't have the time to spend on it.
Regards
Robert
