Hi Andrew,

Photo shots #3 and #5 are the same ! There's two more on the E-Bay listing, one showing the hatchback up and the secondary rear window and then there's the top/rear shot as you posted on the FCF if you can remember ?

.
If there's ever a competition for the best XM picture, I think the fifth picture down (the one taken from above) would be near the top of the list (for me at least).
I think Citroen would have been pleased to have that picture in their XM brochures.

It really looks like a nice car Phil.

Cam belt change on Thursday. Up on the ramp, the car gets a general inspection then too - things like the various pipes and belts (serpentine belt particularly), underneath condition etc. Fingers crossed all is well.

Most have been complementary, although someone said, with that engine, I give it about 9 weeks. Not entirely sure what was meant by that. Maybe because the engine in not brilliant in the Xantia Activa (apparently?) so therefore it can't be any good in an XM? Well, having driven about 70 miles in it, I can't complain. It's quiet, responsive, and not horrible on economy either. No rocket ship, but a fair amount of poke.

Ah well, let's see :D

I think whoever made the comment about the XU lump under the bonnet doesnt know his arse from his citroen, ive heard of a couple of bottom ends going (big ends) but on the whole its a bomb proof engine running at well under the power it could handle, dont worry about the comment it looks like a great car and will do you a good service, enjoy.
