Auto gear stick top wanted ....any condition (for a project)

I tried a local carpenter to make a new surround, but he gave up.

I ended up with a leather cover from Q&K Citroen Classics - they did a good job.

I would be interested in the end result of this project, though.

That does look nice and iirc, they are competitively priced.

They probably just glued the polyurethane foam back together, as aesthetics are no longer an issue.

You don't get the same one back, AFAIK, but the one I sent them back was intact and glued along the cracks. Once in that state, stretched leather would hold in place, I would think.

Their process for fitting the leather is very good.
