S2 V6 parts

Hi

I’ve decided to scrap my car, after nearly 10 years of enjoyable motoring. It’s just failed the MOT on bad rust to the sills and a big hole in the structure near the fuel tank and offside rear jacking point. I’ll be stripping it of useful stuff, so if there’s any S2 stuff you’re looking for just le me know.

Car is top of range W reg 3 litre but with 5 speed manual box. Silver, black leather, early S1 alloys, S1 window motors etc.

Cheers

Marc

I would like a pair of front side lights, and (if in good condition) a silver rear bumper. The complication is that my XM is in France but I am currently in New Zealand, and there is no prospect of an early return to the northern hemisphere.

Just remembered, I would also like spares of the 2 flexible hydraulic pipes that run from the engine to the subframe.

Hi Marc,

How much do you want for the engine, gearbox, wiring loom, radiator, top hose, bottom hose, mounts and drive shafts?

Thanks,
David.

Awwww what a shame to read this Marc after all the work we put in to convert to manual.. is she really not worth patching up.

It was a learning curve converting though I must say..

Agree it’s a shame Paul, but the rust is pretty bad, it’s rusted from the inside out so the tank needs to be taken out and the sill/floor cut out which is a bit too major for me.

Cheers

Marc

Very interested in the Hydractive ecu Marc.

Also what shape are the front struts and tops in?

Not sure about the struts, they look ok but I’ll take them off and find out.

On the understanding that these would transfer from S2 to S1:-

Front subframe, as the one on the 24v is rust with a bit of metal attached to it. Goes without saying that it must be solid as it will be sandblasted before fitting.

13th window and fittings

Sound deadening on the engine bay firewall

Front wheel arches

Picture of the alloys?

Does this car have a sunroof?

Ahh right, that's fair enough.

Need a good quality front subframe folks. Must be solid.
