Nice TCT Estate

Selling off one (or bits :o) of your XM collection, or perhaps searching for those elusive headlight washer covers? This is the place to do it.

Wonder what it's next predicament is though - I'm sure it'd be a nice car!

That new quote of yours Dean is a bit surreal.
Not quite the same resonance of the brilliant:

"when she said put the cat out, she didn't say it was on fire"
or "if in doubt, use a bigger hammer"
and the very similar "if a big hammer doesn't sort it - the sucker's electrical"
or "I know why Santa's always chuckling - he knows where all the bad girls live!"

Not this time Andrew......quote Brad - "If it doesn't sell, I shall not break it for parts but will sell something else instead".

I wonder what he'll sell instead.......another XM.......?

I can't see him doing much with this one if his previous comment is anything to go by..........

Quote Brad - "If it had been a CX, a Cortina or something similar, I'd have had it fixed and sold it for 2 grand or whatever. But all I could see was a bill for several hundred quid to get the turbo etc fixed to end up with a car worth several hundred quid. Not worth the hassle to me."

I think if anyone is interested in this one it might be worth contacting him and making an offer. I believe he reduced the price to £350 when it was on ebay before.

Very pleased to see thats still around, i recognised it straight away from the ebay ad. Its a lovely looking Xm, very pleased it didnt get scrapped.

Somehting didnt seem right when the original poster put somehting like: "listed it on ebay this afternoon, but after having a offer of £50 its now gone to the scrapyard". What, so all of this happened in one afternoon? Just didnt seem right.

I hope it goes to a good home.

I must have missed this thread on the old forum. I can understand Brad's position, but really, I think I'd rather see a car go free to a good home to a fellow enthusiast, and take a loss on it, than hold out for money and then cut my nose off to spite my face by scrapping it. Although thankfully in this case, that turned out to be a bluff

I see from the feedback that it was bought by a guy called Ultan Hayes, he's from Tralee Co. Kerry I believe, and he is a CCC member. Interesting, even more XMs find their way over here. If memory serves me correctly Ultan has a couple of Xms at the moment. He has a Prestige I think, and a late series 2 car.

I'm inclined to buy it as I keep seeing it ALL the time anyway
- in fact I see it more than some of mine!
