24v wanted

Selling off one (or bits :o) of your XM collection, or perhaps searching for those elusive headlight washer covers? This is the place to do it.

Hi

I'm not sure about 99% :D Derek and I both have Black '00 24v's so that probably means about 10-20% were black!

They are like hen's teeth late 24v's. I looked for about 2-3years before finding one. We are looking at changing cars soon and although it's probably more sensible to keep our '54 Honda Accord diesel estate, it's probably that which is going and the XM that's staying. People hold onto them.

Hi

It's a small XM world. This is Justin who sold me my present XM five years ago, when we did a V6 swap (my then 12V or his then 24V). He's obviously into his XM's and we meet occasionally to see his latest (he's had a few). The car for sale http://cgi.ebay. co.uk/Citroen- XM-V6-24v- Exclusive- W-reg-The- Last-The- Best_W0QQitemZ30 0369815517QQcmdZ ViewItemQQptZAut omobiles_ UK?hash=item45ef 6fa7dd seems genuine as the advert states.

Silver but otherwise very nice!

I bought my current XM (see signature) in March the year before last. With 36k on the clock - kilometers, not miles :D
Uhh, also from first owner

Jan you lucky git, how wonderful to have such a 'fresh' XM, and there are usually one or two low milers to choose from (although maybe not that low) - BUT - will it be the right model? It's always nice to have as low a miler as possible, but for me it's always the spec that dictates my purchase; even a 1999 VSX with climate I had for a month felt stripped out, it's almost as if Citroen are punishing you for daring not to buy their haute de gamme in it's Exclusive livery :D. Maybe they're being a little kinder to entry level C6 owners, as they don't seem to have that 'empty box' feel I found even in that late XM; but call me shallow, I'd still rather be wafting around in palatial splendor with bits falling off here & there, than rattling around in a velour cell (although I prefer high spec fabric over leather actually).

Cheers - Justin

PS - that's my 24v on Ebay, so I guess I do like lower miles after all :D

It's the way the UK registration system works. '54' indicates it was registered between 1st Sept '04 and 28th Feb '05.

Each early part of year reg starts with a '0' and later parts start with a '5'.
